Cameron Knowles (born October 11, 1982 in Auckland) is a New Zealander soccer player who currently plays for Portland Timbers in the USL First Division.

Knowles played college soccer for the University of Akron, and in the USL Premier Development League for Chicago Fire Premier

Knowles was drafted by Real Salt Lake of Major League Soccer in the fourth round of the 2005 MLS Supplemental Draft. He played in four games his rookie season. Following the 2006 season, Knowles was waived by RSL, as he would turn 25 during the following season and count against their roster as a Senior International.

Knowles signed with Portland Timbers of the USL First Division in 2007. He was selected to the USL First Division All-League Second Team in 2008, and to the All-League First Team in 2007. In addition, Knowles was one of three finalists for the USL First Division Defender of the Year Award in 2007.^[1]

Knowles was selected in the New Zealand under 17 squad for the FIFA World Championships but did not participate in the tournament has he suffered a broken leg three weeks prior to the opening match.^[2]
