Calgary-Egmont is a provincial electoral district for the Legislative Assembly of Alberta, Canada. Calgary-Egmont was created in 1971 out of most of the old Calgary South riding. The riding covers central southeast Calgary, in the older neighborhoods of Riverbend, Acadia, Fairview, Willowpark, Mapleridge and Ramsay, Kingsland and Manchester. The riding includes a large swath of industrial land including the Highfield Industrial area. Bonnybrook and the Sewage Treatment Plant. The neighborhoods in the north part of the riding are blue collar working class, while the south contains more upscale neighborhoods. Calgary-Egmont has had four consecutive Progressive Conservative MLA's since its creation in 1971. The Progressive Conservatives only strong challenge came in 1971 coming from Pat O'Byrne of the Social Credit party. No by-elections have taken place. Calgary-Egmont is considered one of the most conservative ridings especially in the south part of the riding which tends to anchor the strong wins, while the north tends to split votes among all parties. The right wing Alberta Alliance pulled out 15%, the Alliance's best showing in all of Calgary.

On November 19, 2004 a Student Vote was conducted at participating Alberta schools to parallel the 2004 Alberta general election results. The vote was designed to educate students and simulate the electoral process for persons who have not yet reached the legal majority. The vote was conducted in 80 of the 83 provincial electoral districts with students voting for actual election candidates. Schools with a large student body that reside in another electoral district had the option to vote for candidates outside of the electoral district then where they were physically located.
