Cairo International Bank (CIB) is a commercial bank in Uganda. The bank is involved in all aspects of commercial banking, providing services to large multinationals, medium-sized businesses, small enterprises, retail businesses and individuals. As of May 2009, Cairo International Bank is the 19th largest commercial bank in Uganda with an asset valuation of approximately US$24 million. This asset valuation represents less than 1% of all bank assets in Uganda.^[3]

Cairo International Bank began operations in 1995, after receiving a commercial banking license from the Bank of Uganda.^[4]

Cairo International Bank is a joint venture between several Egyptian banks and businesses, including: Banque Du Caire, Bank of Alexandria, National Bank of Egypt, Banque Misr and Kato Aromatics SAE. Kato Aromatics SAE is an Egyptian Company owned by Dr. Ibrahim Kamel, dealing in several businesses worldwide including developing an industrial park in Uganda. ^[5]
