CFRQ-FM is a Canadian rock radio station, broadcasting at 104.3 FM in Halifax, Nova Scotia. The station uses the on-air brand name Q104 (The Q for short). Founded in 1983 by President C.A. (Arnie) Patterson of Patterson Broadcasters, Senior Vice-President/National Sales Director was the late W.L. (Bill) Patterson and Vice-President/Chief Engineer the late Jack Hutchison.

Original slogan was "The Rock of the Atlantic".

The first song played on Q104 was Rock and Roll by Led Zeppelin.

Original line-up consisted of the "Morning Zoo" with Brother Jake Edwards, Hal Harbour (Doug Barron), and "Billy-Bob" (Bill Phillips), mid-days with "The Legend" Bob Powers, afternoon drive Andy K., six-o'clock rock report with "Rockin'" Ray Plourde, as well as the Midnight Metal Show and weekend afternoons with Jessica Taylor who also created and did the voice of Bambi Fawn from the morning shows sponsored "Between the Sheets". Other original on-air personalities included Jim Armstrong, Brenda Oland ("Ms. Information"), Doug Caldwell, Andrew Gillis ("Les Ismore") and Andrew Boyle (sports).

In subsequent years, the following personalities were on-air: BJ Wilson, Jay Michaels, Kenny "C", Jamie Paterson, Jordi Morgan, the late Darian O'Toole, Harv Stewart (sports), Jeff Woods, Adam Marriott, Jeff Cogswell and Stan Carew.

Q104 is presently owned by Newcap Broadcasting. Newcap owns one other Halifax radio station, CKUL-FM.

Q104's current program director is J.C. Douglas. Personalities include: B.J. Burke, Anna Zee, Tom Bedell, Bobby Mac, Scotty Mars and Bob Powers. The station also airs Little Steven's Underground Garage and Nights With Alice Cooper.

The radio station was a sponsor of the 2009 ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships in neighboring Dartmouth.
