[edit] Geography

Buyeo is located at the southern area of Chungcheongnam-do, the heart of the Korean peninsula, and has the same longitude as Windam, Australia and the same latitude as Tokyo.[1]

In the time of Baekje (during the Three Kingdoms Era), the capital was moved to present-day Buyeo County (they called Sabi) ascribed to narrowness of the former capital (which was near present-day Seoul). A fortress called Garimseong was constructed for defending the new capital.[2]
