Business Solutions Builders, abbreviated BSB, is a Belgian multinational corporation specialized in software publishing and IT services.

BSB’s main target is the financial sector. This sector includes banks, insurance companies, asset management and holdings.

BSB was created in 1995 by 3 IT-consultants acquainted with the banking business :

  • Jean Martin
  • Michel Isaac
  • Marc van Steenwinkel

These three people are still important key-members of the company (see below).

The BSB headquarters are located in Louvain-la-Neuve (Belgium) since 1995. In 1996, a first subsidiary was created in Luxembourg (Grand Duchy of Luxembourg), followed in 2001 by a second one in Paris (France). A third subsidiary was created in 2009 in Ireland.

In 2008 BSB went public by realizing an IPO[2] in order to bring in capital.

  • SAP Services
    • BSB assists its clients in selecting the SAP solution that best meets their situation, adapts it to their specific needs and carries out its implementation.
  • IDIT Services (specially designed for the non-life activities of insurance companies)
    • As a preferred IDIT partner, BSB integrates and interfaces the IDIT[6] software.

BSB continues its constant growth despite of the crisis on the financial markets as a result of the September 11 attacks and the recent subprime crisis which has affected the insurance sector (see figures in table below).

The growth strategy of this multinational corporation has been reinforced by its IPO (see above) which has allowed the company to bring in capital and continue its investments. According to BSB, one of the major challenges of this company is to be always at the pinnacle of new developments[7].
