Business Card Composer is a Mac OS X application for designing and printing business cards. The first version of Business Card Composer was released on May 28, 2003. This program was the first in a series of do-it-yourself applications released by BeLight Software. Business Card Composer is also a part of the developer's desktop publishing suite Printfolio.

On May 28, 2003, Business Card Composer became the first application released by the software developer BeLight Software. The key features of version one included an automatic background generator, image masks, color fill options, and other design tools.

Version two was released on November 25, 2003, and added custom card stock layouts, merge printing functionality and the ability to search for images in Google from inside the program interface. Version two was included in the "Promote Your Business on a Mac" workshop held in seventy Apple retail stores around the world on February 25, 2004. In April of 2004, BeLight Software released Business Card Composer 2.2 and changed the application's icon due to a conflict with AOL.

BeLight Software released version three on February 9, 2005. The new version mainly included a large clip art and template library upgrade. Changes in functionality included the ability to print multiple designs on one sheet of card stock.

Version four was released in June of 2006. Changes included a new interface, the addition of adjustable shadows and improved integration with Apple iPhoto.

Version five was released in October of 2009. It brought new design tools, Google Maps integration, as well as 2D barcodes.

Business Card Composer supports horizontal, vertical, double-sided, folded and CD-R business cards. The program integrates with Apple Address Book, allowing the user to quickly populate information fields with contact details from Address Book. The printing options include printing one card design, multiple card designs, and one card design for various contacts.

According to BeLight Software, it changed the application icon in the 2.2 update due to legal claims by American Online that the yellow character on the version two icon resembled the Running Man logo. Ever since the 2.2 update, the Business Card Composer icon has had a blue man instead of the yellow one.

Business Card Composer has received awards from Macworld (4.5 out of 5), Macworld UK (8.8 out of 10), MacUser (4 out of 5) and others ^[1][2][3].
