The Budapest Metropolitan Area or Budapest Agglomeration (Hungarian: Budapesti agglomeráció) is a metropolitan area in Central Hungary. It means Greater Budapest and it's commuter belt. It has a population of 2.503 million (2009). In the official Budapest Commuter Area (established by the government^[1] in 2005^[2]) lived 3,271,110 people in 2008^[3], so the Hungarian metropolis is the largest commuter area in Central-East Europe.
