Bryan Hassan Bergougnoux (born January 12, 1983, in Lyon), is a French footballer of Moroccan descent, currently playing for U.S. Lecce in Serie B. He is mostly known for his powerful shots and physical endurance.
[edit] Club careerBergougnoux began his career at his hometown club Olympique Lyonnais, where he was formed since a young age. His début for the club came in a 2–0 defeat to RC Lens on July 28, 2001. After thirty-six games for Lyon, for which he scored four goals, he was sold to Toulouse in 2005 for €6.million, on a 4-year deal. In 2009, after his contract expired, he signed for U.S. Lecce of Italy. [edit] International CareerBergougnoux was a member of the France U21, for which he played 21 times and scored 10 times. Called up for France against Norway in 2003, he did not, however, manage to receive his first cap.[1] After 6 years without a call-up for France, Bergougnoux was called up to play against Nigeria on June 2, 2009.[2] [edit] External links
