Bryan Barnett (born 10 February 1987) is a Canadian sprinter who specializes in the 200 metres. He was born in Edmonton. He won the silver medal at the 2006 World Junior Championships, and also competed at the 2007 World Championships and 2008 Olympic Games without reaching the final.[1] At the 2007 Pan American Games he won a silver medal in the 4 x 100 metres relay, together with teammates Richard Adu-Bobie, Anson Henry and Jared Connaughton.[citation needed] His personal best time is 20.31 seconds, achieved at the 2007 World Championships in Osaka. He also has 6.66 seconds in the 60 metres, achieved in January 2009 in Saskatoon; 10.24 seconds in the 100 metres, achieved in June 2007 in Calgary and 46.17 seconds in the 400 metres, achieved in July 2006 in Edmonton.[1] A 10.29 on June 27, 2009 into a headwind was enough to make Barnett the Canadian 100 metre champion at the Canadian track and field championships in Toronto. Bryan currently trains in Edmonton with the Q-School training group under coach Quin Sekulich, coach of a number of high performance athletes. [edit] References
