Bruno Miguel Esteves Vale (born April 8, 1983 in Mafamude, Vila Nova de Gaia) is a Portuguese footballer currently playing for C.F. Os Belenenses on loan from F.C. Porto, as a goalkeeper.

[edit] Football career

A product of F.C. Porto's youth system, Vale was surprisingly picked for a Portugal friendly match against Kazakhstan (1–0) in 2003, where he played 22 minutes as a substitute. At the time, he was only third-choice at his club. The following year, Vale represented the nation at the Summer Olympics, backing S.L. Benfica's José Moreira.

Subsequently, Vale played 2005–06 on loan to C.F. Estrela da Amadora, also being selected to the nation's squad-of-23 at the 2006 FIFA World Cup. However, he injured his foot in a game against Germany in a 2006 UEFA European Under-21 Football Championship contest played in Portugal, and was forced to pull out of the squad.[1]

In 2006–07, Vale was loaned again, to first division União de Leiria, where he went almost unnoticed the entire season, and the following season dropped down a level, joining second division's Varzim SC.

On July 2008, he was yet again loaned, spending 2008–09 at Vitória de Setúbal.
