Broadsheet was a current affairs programme broadcast on RTÉ during the early 1960s.

The first edition was transmitted on January 1, 1962, less than twenty-four hours after the Republic of Ireland's new television channel was launched. Broadsheet aired each evening from Monday to Friday in the 18:35 - 19:15 slot. This schedule put the new series in direct competition with BBC Television's Tonight programme.[1] Broadsheet was edited by P. P. O'Reilly.[2]

Three of its presenters, John O'Donoghue, Brian Cleeve, and Brian Farrell each went on to play a significant role in the development of current affairs programming on RTÉ during the 1960s and 70s and, in Farrell's case, right through to his retirement from broadcasting in 2003.

Although Broadsheet won a prestigious Jacob's Award it did not enjoy a lengthy run and the final edition was broadcast in October 1963.
