Bristol Aerojet (BAJ) was a joint venture between the Bristol Aeroplane Company of the United Kingdom and Aerojet General of the US began in 1959.^[1]

Bristol converted one of its wartime shadow factories into a rocket manufacturing plant in 1956.

In Canada Bristol purchased Macdonald Brothers in 1954 renaming it to Bristol Aerojet in 1962. In 1967 it became "Bristol Aerospace Limited" a part of Rolls-Royce Industries, the Canadian arm of Rolls-Royce which had taken over all of Bristol-Siddeleys engine business.
