Brighton Secondary School in Brighton, a beach side suburb of Adelaide, South Australia, offers general secondary education with elite programs in music and volleyball. Entry to these is highly competitive and by audition or try out.

It is one of four Special Interest Music Centres, with those at Brighton and Marryatville High Schools set up 1976, Woodville High School in 1977 and Fremont-Elizabeth City High School (then "Fremont High School") in 1978 covering four distinct geographical areas of Adelaide.

They were the champions in the Adelaide Rock Eisteddfod Challenge in 2003, 2004, 2006 and 2008 and came 2nd in state for Wakakirri in 2007 , receiving the silver award and 4th in 2008.

It has produced some up and coming AFL players. Bryce Gibbs, Mark Austin and James Sellar all selected in the same draft. Bryce and Mark play for Carlton Football Club and James plays for the Adelaide Crows. In 2009 Hayden Jolly was selected to play in the VFL for the Gold Coast Football Club in 2010. They will have their inaugral year in the AFL in 2011.
