Brian Visser (born August 13, 1987 in Elmhurst, Illinois) is an American soccer player, currently without a club.
[edit] Career[edit] CollegeVisser played college soccer at DePaul University from 2005 to 2008. Over the four years Visser made 75 appearances while recording 28 shutouts. Both of these statistics were school records. He also holds the records for season shutouts (11 in 2008), consecutive shutouts (4 in 2007), and season Goals Against Average (0.63 in 2008).[1] Visser was a three-time All-Big East All-Academic team selection as well as the 2007 Big East Goalie of the Year, first team All-Big East 2007, 2nd team All-Big East 2008, NSCAA Adidas All-Scholar All-American First Team (2007), and the three time DePaul Men's Soccer Most Valuable Player (2006, 2007, 2008 seasons).[2] [edit] ProfessionalVisser signed with the Portland Timbers of the United Soccer Leagues First Division on March 27, 2009.[3], but made just one first team appearance before being released on December 7, 2009.[4] [edit] References[edit] External links | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
