Brian Farber (born April 15, 1982 in Sandpoint, Idaho) is an American soccer player who currently plays for Portland Timbers in the USL First Division.
[edit] Career[edit] CollegeFarber played college soccer at North Idaho College, where he remains the school's career record-holder for points, before transferring to Oregon State University for his final two collegiate seasons. Farber was named to the All-Pac-10 second team and Pac-10 All-Academic team as a senior in 2003. [edit] ProfessionalAfter playing several games in the MLS Reserve Division with the reserve teams of both San Jose Earthquakes and Houston Dynamo between 2004 and 2006, Farber began his professional career in 2007 with Minnesota Thunder of the USL First Division. Farber played 28 matches for Thunder, finished the season as the team's leading scorer with seven goals and three assists, and was named to the USL First Division All-League second team. Farber also has extensive experience playing indoor soccer, having played with the Stockton Cougars and its predecessor, the California Cougars, in the Major Indoor Soccer League and the Professional Arena Soccer League since 2005.[1] Farber signed with the Portland Timbers in January 2009.[2].
