He moved on 13 January 2009 from Ukrainian Premier League club Shakhtar Donetsk to Olympique de Marseille^[1], after 7 years service for Shakhtar in Ukrainian football and in the UEFA Champions League. Since then, he has actively participated in Olympique de Marseille French championship games.
