"Body" was supposed to be the first official single from rapper Ja Rule's seventh studio album The Mirror: Reloaded, but since the album has yet to be released, the song has been cut. It features Ashley Joi and was produced by 7 Aurelius. The video was directed by Hype Williams and it premiered on BET's Access Granted on September 20, 2007.

The song was initially written by Ja Rule in a club, while he was watching some ladies dancing. In an interview with BET, Ja Rule said that it was too explicit to describe the process of writing the lyrics of the song. According to the rapper, he was performing sexual intercourse with a groupie when he thought of the chorus.^[1]
