Białołęka is a district in Warsaw located in the northern part of the city.
[edit] History[edit] Białołęka VillageBiałołęka Village came into being in 1425 and belonged to the Gołyński Family. In 1938 Białołęka has 900 inhabitants and belonged to the Bródno municipality. [edit] Białołęka DistrictIn 1994, due to Act about new territorial division of capital, Białołęka changed its name to Warszawa-Białołęka municipality. In 2002, the territorial division was changed by replacing Warsaw's municipalities into districts. [edit] DivisionArea of the division divides into following parts:
[edit] EducationMain article: Education in Białołęka In Białołęka, there are about 5 gymnasiums and about 15 primary schools. The most known schools is Jan Marcin Szancer Primary School 342 (Szkoła Podstawowa z Oddziałami Integracyjnymi Nr 342 im. Jana Marcina Szancera w Warszawie). It is the biggest school in Poland in the respect of number of pupils. It was established in 1992 and is still opened. School's principal is Maria Marciniak.
