[edit] Career

Marshall signed for Stoke City on 8 July along with fellow youngster Matthew Lund[1] from Cheshire rivals Crewe Alexandra both after progressing through the youth system at Gresty Road. Due to not having a Professional contract while at Crewe, no fee has yet been agreed for Marshall so a tribunal may have to be called to determine what fee the Potters will have to pay the League Two side. After an impressive pre-season for Stoke, he joined Northampton Town on loan for 3 months on 7 August[2] to gain some first team experience and looks a great prospect for the future. Marshall returned to Stoke on the 4 November 2009 following a successful loan spell.[3] On 13 November 2009 Marshall signed a month loan with Cheltenham Town.[4] He made his debut on 14 November 2009 in a 1-1 draw with Lincoln City.[5]
