[edit] Club career

While attending Palm-Beach Currumbin State High, Hannant played for the Australian Schoolboys team in 2002.[1]

[edit] Sydney Roosters

Hannant made his debut with the Roosters in 2005, playing a handful of games for the club before being signed by the Brisbane Broncos for the 2006 season. Hannant had played in the Roosters' Premier League grand final winning side the year previous.

[edit] Brisbane Broncos

In late 2005, Hannant moved to the Broncos for the 2006 season and enjoyed premiership success with them. The retirement of Shane Webcke following the Grand Final left some large shoes to be filled in the Broncos' front row and Hannant has contributed respectably to doing just that.

[edit] Bulldogs

In May 2008, Hannant signed a three-year deal with Sydney based club, the Bulldogs, commencing in 2009.[2][3]

[edit] Representative career

Hannant was selected for the Queensland Maroons in 2008 and scored his first try in Game 2 at Suncorp Stadium, which Queensland won 30-0.

In April 2009, he was named in the preliminary 25 man squad to represent Queensland in the opening State of Origin match for 2009 and currently has swine flu.[4]

Represented Australia on the 25th of October 2009 in Australia's opening Four Nations match against New Zealand in which Hannant played as the starting Prop. The match was a draw 20 all

He also represented Australia on the 13th of November 2009 as the starting prop against England. This was the Gillete 4 Nations Rugby League Final. It was a 46-16 win to Australia.

[edit] Swine Flu

On 8 June 2009 it was announced that he had contracted the H1N1 virus[5], the first case in professional sports[6].
