Beheruz Nariman Sethna is the current president of the University of West Georgia in Carrollton, Georgia, USA.
Sethna has a Ph.D. in Business (Marketing) from Columbia University, an M.B.A. from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay.[citation needed] He served as the Interim Senior Vice Chancellor of Academics and Fiscal Affairs for the University System of Georgia in 1999 and 2006.[1] He is fluent in three languages.[citation needed]
He is notable for being the first person of Indian origin to serve as the President of an American university, as well as the first ethnic minority president of a Georgia college (other than historically black institutions)[2]
