"Bawitdaba" is a song by Kid Rock and Twisted Brown Trucker, released by Kid Rock on his album Devil Without a Cause.

The song was nominated for two Grammy Awards in 2000 (Best New Artist and Best Hard Rock Performance). The song peaked at No. 10 on the Mainstream Rock Tracks, No. 11 on the Modern Rock Charts, and No. 104 on the Hot 100 on July 13, 1999. In 2009, it was named the 47th best hard rock song of all time by VH1.[1].

The song's chorus pays homage to Sugar Hill Gang's "Rapper's Delight",[citation needed] although they are never credited. The title, more lyrics, and chorus rythm are from Lovebug Starski's song "Starski Live at the Disco Fever." The Guitar break is borrowed from The Edgar Winter Group's Frankenstein which is then incorporated into the chorus. The chorus also bears a striking lyrical, rhythmic and melodic resemblance to the earlier Sprinkle Genies' song "Bum", released on the 1997 compilation CD "Cafe Music Network's Selects Volume 2." (This CD was compiled by a member of Kid Rock's management.) Kenny Tudrick did the guitar work on Kid Rock's song and was going to sue for his royalties before Kid Rock asked him to join the band after Kenny Olson quit in 2005. A censored version of the song was also made, which replaces the word "bastards" in "all you bastards at the I.R.S." with record scratching.

The song was played over the climax of the pilot episode of the FX television series The Shield. It was also featured in the 2000 movie Ready to Rumble as a remixed version called the "The Lower Than You" remix. A live version of the song was included on the Woodstock 99 compilation album.

Excluding the album Grits Sandwiches for Breakfast, this song is Kid Rock's only song available on iTunes, and the Woodstock version is the only one you can buy as an individual purchase.

The song was used in a Simpsons episode in which the family goes to Florida in spring break and Homer goes to a Kid Rock and Joe C concert.

The song was also performed at WWE Wrestlemania XXV as part of a medley prior to the 25-Diva Miss Wrestlemania Battle Royal.
