Batata harra (Arabic: بطاطا حارة) (literally "spicy potatoes") is a Lebanese vegetable dish. It consists of potatoes, red peppers, coriander, chili, and garlic which are all fried together in olive oil. Batata harra is also an Indian vegetable dish. In fact, potatoes in Western India are known as Batata, and Harra means green in Hindi. To prepare, boil the potatoes, then saute them in oil with cumin seeds and curry leaves. Garnish with coriander.
