Ashley Hansen (born 3 March 1983) is an Australian rules footballer wearing number 29 with the West Coast Eagles in the Australian Football League. Hansen was born in Victoria, Australia and was educated at Mazenod College.

Recruited from Northvale/Oakleigh Under 18s, he made his debut in 2004 in round eleven against Collingwood, after being picked number 38 in the 2001 National Draft. He had an injury in that game in the third quarter.

Ashley Hansen was named West Coast Eagles Rookie of the Year for 2005.

His father, Clarke Hansen, is one of the most respected AFL commentators.

Ashley Hansen kicked the opening goal of the 2006 grand final and got the West Coast Eagles off to the quick start they needed. He then kicked a second goal late in the first term, making him arguably the most influential player of the quarter. Ashley was much quieter after the first quarter, however his 11 possessions and 8 marks were a valuable contribution to a side who would eventually triumph by a solitary point.

Impressively, of the 14 games Hansen played the 2006 season, the Eagles have emerged victorious on every single occasion. This statistic, while partly coincidence, is also indicative of Ashley's importance to the squad.

Ashley Hansen is a crucial player to the structure of the West Coast Eagles team, he is a conduit between midfield and attack.

Round 7, 2007, saw Hansen appear in a losing side for the first time since the 2005 AFL Grand Final.
