The 2009–10 season will be Arsenal Football Club's 18th season in the Premier League. This article shows statistics of the club's players in the season, and also lists all matches that the club will play in the season.

- 12 June: Goalkeeper Łukasz Fabiański signs a new "long-term" contract with Arsenal.[1]
- 19 June: Defender Thomas Vermaelen signs for Arsenal from Ajax.[2]
- 30 June: Midfielder Amaury Bischoff's and striker Rui Fonte's contracts expire and both leave Arsenal. Youth Team goalkeeper James Shea and defenders Luke Ayling, Craig Eastmond, and Cedric Evina all sign professional contracts with Arsenal. Youth team defenders Abu Ogogo, Paul Rodgers, Rene Steer, and Anton Blackwood; midfielders James Dunne, Jonas Rasmussen, and Vincent van den Berg all leave the club.[3]
- 1 July: Defenders Philippe Senderos and Armand Traoré; reserve team defenders Gavin Hoyte, Kerrea Gilbert, and Pedro Botelho; midfielder Nacer Barazite; and striker Jay Simpson all return from loan.[citation needed]
- 1 July: Midfielder Aaron Ramsey signs a new "long-term" contract with Arsenal.[4]
- 2 July: Midfielder Jack Wilshere signs a new "long-term" contract with Arsenal.[5]
- 3 July: Defender Kieran Gibbs becomes the third player in as many days to sign a new "long-term" contract with Arsenal.[6]
- 8 July: Striker Robin van Persie signs a new "long-term" contract with Arsenal.[7]
- 13 July: Striker Robin van Persie is voted as the O2/Arsenal.com Player of the Season with 35.3% of the votes.[8]
- 18 July: Tomáš Rosický plays 45 minutes during Arsenal's pre-season friendly against Barnet following an absence of 18 months due to successive injuries. Thomas Vermaelen also makes his debut in the match.[9]
- 18 July: Emmanuel Adebayor joins Manchester City for a fee of £25 million.[10]
- 21 July: Midfielder Samir Nasri fractures his right fibula during a training session. He is expected to miss the next two to three months while recovering.[11]
- 29 July: Defender Kolo Touré joins Manchester City for an undisclosed fee on a four-year contract.[12][13]
- 1 September: UEFA ban Eduardo for two Champions League matches for "deceiving the referee" in Arsenal's play-off match against Celtic.[14] Two days later, Arsenal confirm they are to appeal against the ban, saying UEFA's decision was "completely flawed".[15]
- 2 September: Striker Nicklas Bendtner signs a new "long-term" contract with Arsenal.[16]
- 2 September: Midfielder Denílson signs a new "long-term" contract with Arsenal.[17]
- 4 September: Defender Johan Djourou undergoes surgery on his left knee cartilage after picking up the injury while on international duty in August. He is expected to miss six to eight months while recovering.[18][19]
- 12 September: Midfielder Tomáš Rosický comes on after 51 minutes in the defeat at Manchester City, marking his return to competitive football with a goal.[20]
- 14 September: Eduardo's two match Champions League ban for "deceiving the referee" is annulled by the UEFA Appeals Body after it was not established to the panel's satisfaction that the referee had been deceived in taking his decision on the penalty.[21][22]
- 14 November: Striker Robin van Persie sufferes ankle ligament damage during an international friendly. He is expected to miss four to five months while recovering from ligament reconstruction surgery.[23][24]
- 18 November: Striker Eduardo signs a new "long-term" contract with Arsenal.[25]
- 24 November: Midfielder Alexandre Song signs a new contract that will keep him at Arsenal until at least 2014.[26]
- 10 December: Striker Carlos Vela signs a new "long-term" contract with Arsenal.[27]
- 31 December: Mifielder Abou Diaby signs a new "long-term" contract with Arsenal.[28]
