Arnon Milchan

Arnon Milchan (Hebrew: ארנון מילצ'ן‎; December 6, 1944) is a film producer and businessman. Milchan produced many films such as The War of the Roses, Once Upon a Time in America, Pretty Woman, Natural Born Killers, The Devil's Advocate and L.A. Confidential. He is an Israeli citizen.

Milchan was born in Tel Aviv, British Mandate of Palestine, to a father who owned a fertilizer company,^[1] which Milchan turned into a successful chemical business.^{[citation needed]} He also earned a degree from the London School of Economics.

Milchan then began investing in movies for various directors.^{[citation needed]} Most notable among those directors was Martin Scorsese. Milchan started his own production company in 1991 called New Regency Productions. Through his company and other business ventures Milchan has attained a net worth estimated at about $1.1 billion.

Arnon Milchan is listed as a producer by IMDB for many classics films such as Brazil (1985), Once Upon a Time in America (1984), L.A. Confidential, and many others.^[2]

Milchan is also noted for being a strong supporter of Israel.^{[citation needed]} He is said to be a personal friend of Shimon Peres and underwrites the Israeli Network which transmits Israeli television programming to the United States and Canada via cable and satellite TV.^{[citation needed]}

Milchan is married to former tennis professional Amanda Coetzer.
