Arijit Singh was one of the finalists of Fame Gurukul, one of the most watched Indian reality television shows. He was chosen from among thousands of Indians who auditioned. He went on to win a subsequent reality show called 10 ke 10 le gaye dil with the help of audience votes.

Arijit Singh always had interest in music, especially in classical music. Fame Gurukul gave him a new direction in life. After Fame Gurukul, Arijit got a lot of respect and love from not only his family members but from his fans all over the country. He's got to meet a lot of music directors without using much effort and he's already got more than 20 stage show offers. Arijit has shifted from Murshidabad to Mumbai in order to make his own mark in the music Industry. People who did not believe in him have started to respect his singing capabilities. Arijit has been receiving international offers as well. He is also supporting his family financially. Arijit would have never received the fame he got if he wouldn't have been a part of Fame Gurukul. Arijit's talent was recognized by the faculty, jury members and his fellow contestants which made him a top favourite singer at Fame Gurukul.

He has a very strong base in classical Hindustani music. He can sing even difficult songs without any problem. The famous Pandit Jasraj was so impressed by his singing that he asked him to come to his home and learn advancede classicale music from him.HE has a very original voice and renders difficult songs with much ease.

       Arijit recently appeared in the "dadagiri" show hosted by Saurav Ganguly along with many others,like Aneek Dhar. He is  directing music recently and he had also sung that title song of dadagiri with the same brilliant and an ear-soothing god-gifted voice of his.
