Ariel S. Leve (born January 24, 1968) is a journalist, based in New York and London. She has conducted interviews and written numerous cover stories for the Sunday Times Magazine since 2003. Since then she has twice been nominated for British Press Awards — 2005 Interviewer of the Year, and she received Highly Commended for Feature Writer of the Year, 2008. She has written frequently for The Guardian newspaper in the United Kingdom, which included a weekly column entitled Half Empty, A pessimist's view of the world, between January 3, 2005 and September 5, 2005, focusing on her idiosyncratic views on life.

Since October 2005 Ariel Leve has written a weekly column under the title [Cassandra] for the Sunday Times Magazine. She still writes occasionally for The Guardian. She has contributed to Vogue (UK), Granta, the Evening Standard (UK), and to the book 101 Damnations: The Humorists' Tour of Personal Hells which has Michael J. Rosen as editor. Her article was titled "What were they thinking?"

Among her interviews are Bill Nighy, Martin Scorsese, Mike Nichols, Tom Cruise, Elton John, Arthur Miller, Simon Cowell, Quentin Tarantino, John Irving, Edward Norton, Dustin Hoffman, Mickey Rourke, Dan Rather, Tim Burton, Christopher Walken, and others.

In 2008, her cover story on Tyler Ziegel and Renee for The Sunday Times Magazine, looked at one year on after his return form Iraq and the toll it took on their marriage. A 2007 a cover story examined what happens to unidentified bodies in Britain told through a six-month investigation tracing the identity of an unknown and unmourned man named Andrew Smith.

Other feature cover stories have included a piece on The Amish and how they will stop the younger generation from moving away; US Marines and the cutting edge reconstructive surgery they are receiving; a demystification of The Chelsea Hotel; a look at the anger management business; a polemic on the importance of listening; the love story of Steve McQueen and his widow, Barbara; and what science can tell us about ourselves and how much we really want to know. Features include the aftermath of the Virginia Tech shootings, women who guard the women on death row.

In 2009, "The Cassandra Chronicles" was published by Portobello Books in the UK

In April 2010, Harper Perennial will publish in the US and Canada: "It Could Be Worse, You Could Be Me"

Ariel Leve won Feature Writer of the Year 2008 at the Magazine Design and Journalism Awards
