The arcuate popliteal ligament is an extracapsular ligament of the knee. It is Y-shaped and is attached to the fibular head. From there it goes to its two insertions; one goes over m. popliteus and attaches to the intercondylar area of tibia, the other to the lateral epicondyle of femur and blends there with the lateral head of m. gastrocnemius.
