Applebee's Park viewed from behind home plate. Applebee's Park is a stadium in Lexington, Kentucky. It is primarily used for baseball, and is the home field of the Lexington Legends minor league baseball team.[1] It was built in 2001. It holds 6,500 people.[2] Naming rights are held by the restaurant chain Applebee's.[1] Applebee's Park is modeled after larger minor-league and major-league stadiums. It features the Pepsi Party Deck over the right field wall. This area is available for rent by groups. Down the right-field line, it features the Budweiser Pavilion, where fans can get ice-cold beer and watch the game from the picnic table areas. Behind home plate and accessible from the stadium's main entrance, the Maker's Mark Club caters to members and guests with passes. The left-field line features a small but popular area for families to watch the games. This area includes a kids area with a carousel, bouncer and obstacle course. The bleachers, just over the left-field wall, holds more fans. There are two scoreboards. One is an out of town scoreboard and is a manual scoreboard.[1] This board is operated by Tiny. He wears an old-fashioned baseball uniform to keep with the Legend's "Legends of Baseball" theme.[citation needed] The other board of course is the regular scoreboard with a jumbotron to show highlights, stats, and promos throughout the game.[1] The stadium's largest crowd to date came on June 6, 2006, when a standing-room-only crowd of over 9,300 was on hand to witness what the team dubbed "Rocket Relaunch" — Roger Clemens's first stop on his return to the Houston Astros.[citation needed] [edit] Stadium firsts
