Antonov Airlines (Antonov Design Bureau) is a cargo airline based in Kiev, Ukraine. It operates international charter services in the world outsize cargo market. Its main base is Gostomel Airport, Kiev^[1].

The airline was established and started operations in 1989 when it entered into a marketing agreement with Air Foyle to market Antonov An-124 cargo charters worldwide. This relationship ceased in June 2006. Antonov Airlines now operates a joint venture marketing company Ruslan International with Volga-Dnepr JS Cargo Airlines of Russia under the name Ruslan International^[2], in which it has a 50% stake. This also led Antonov design bureau (which wholly owns the airline) in obtaining its own operating certificate^[1].

Among the cargoes delivered by Antonov Airlines are the following:

• An 88 ton Hydraulic turbine for the Tashtakumska Hydroelectric Plant from Kharkov to Tashkent;
• Civil engineering vehicles to deal with the consequences of the earthquake in Spitak, Armenia;
• Vehicles and systems for resolving the Persian Gulf crisis (mine clearance bulldozers, mobile electric stations, special mine and oil-clearing boats, humanitarian assistance);
• 135.2 ton Siemens generator from Dusseldorf, Germany to Delhi, India lifted by An-225. (listed in the Guinness Book of Records^{[3] [4]});
• Nuclear fuel in special containers from Habaniya, Iraq to Yekaterinburg (Russia) under the United Nations program for disarmament of Iraq;
• A 102 ton Locomotive from London, Canada to Dublin, Ireland.
