Anjali plays a servant who falls in love with a prince in the series Raja Ki Aayegi Baraat. Anjali auditioned for the part of Rani in her home town of Jammu. She then received a call from the writers of RKAB saying she had got the part. She then moved to Mumbai with the rest of her family as this is where the serial is shot.

Anjali is known to be dating her co-star of Raja Ki Aaayegi Baraat Kapil Nirmal, who is ten years her senior. This came as a surprise to many people as Anjali was quoted many times as saying that she only believed in arranged marriages. Their relationship was questioned by many as people who believed that they were pretending to date in order to take part in the reality dance competition Nach Baliye.

Anjali participated in the Indian dance reality show Nach Baliye 4 with her boyfriend Kapil Nirmal. She also has an older brother and sister who are yet to get married.
