Andrew Mulligan Green (born July 7, 1977 in Lexington, Kentucky) is an American professional baseball player. He is an infielder for the New York Mets organization.

He is a versatile fielder, who has the ability to play in almost all of the positions in baseball. Since he made his debut, he has played at second base, third base, shortstop, and in the outfield.

His first major league hit came with the Arizona Diamondbacks in 2004, when he hit a 2-run, pinch-hit homer against the New York Yankees at Bank One Ballpark (as it was known in 2004). Green was named the 2005 Pacific Coast League MVP for the Diamondbacks Triple-A affiliate, the Tucson Sidewinders.

Green's 2007 contract was sold to the Hokkaido Nippon Ham Fighters.[1] On January 5, 2008, Green signed a minor league contract with the Cincinnati Reds and he was assigned to the Triple-A Louisville Bats. Green was released by the Reds on July 1, 2008, and he signed a minor league contract with the New York Mets the next day. He became a free agent at the end of the season and re-signed with the Mets in November.

Green was called up to the Mets for the first time on August 16, 2009 to serve as a backup infielder after David Wright was placed on the disabled list.[2] Green was designated for assignment on August 22 and subsequently sent to the Mets' AAA affiliate in favor of recalling Pat Misch for the bullpen.[3]
