Andrew Bentley is a New Zealander, who played for the Catalans Dragons in the Super League competition. Born from a Samoan father and a Maori mother. He is the older brother of fellow squad member Kane.

He has been living in France for 14 years. His family came to France to follow his dad who ended his career as a rugby league player at La Réole after playing for Richmond and Ponsonby in Auckland. His father Andrew Sr. was also previously selected to represent Samoa in the Pacific Cup

Andrew is said to have an awesome defense as a 'big hitter' but his work rate around the rucks has placed him in the Dragons squad and French Juniors for a number of years earlier.

He was been named in the France training squad for the 2008 Rugby League World Cup.^[1]
