Andrew Barron (born 12 December 1980, in Invercargill,) is a New Zealand soccer midfielder who currently plays for Team Wellington in the New Zealand Football Championship.

In 2008, Barron signed with the Minnesota Thunder of the USL First Division. He has since returned to New Zealand to play for Team Wellington, his team before Minnesota.

[edit] National team

Barron made his debut for the New Zealand national soccer team (All Whites) in the series against Malaysia, in February 2006. He scored a goal in the second match of that series.[1][2] Barron has been included in the New Zealand squad for the 2009 FIFA Confederations Cup in South Africa, along with fellow non-professionals James Bannatyne and Aaron Scott.[3]
