Andrew Barron (born 12 December 1980, in Invercargill,) is a New Zealand soccer midfielder who currently plays for Team Wellington in the New Zealand Football Championship.
[edit] ProfessionalIn 2008, Barron signed with the Minnesota Thunder of the USL First Division. He has since returned to New Zealand to play for Team Wellington, his team before Minnesota. [edit] National teamBarron made his debut for the New Zealand national soccer team (All Whites) in the series against Malaysia, in February 2006. He scored a goal in the second match of that series.[1][2] Barron has been included in the New Zealand squad for the 2009 FIFA Confederations Cup in South Africa, along with fellow non-professionals James Bannatyne and Aaron Scott.[3] [edit] References
