[edit] HistoryThe company was founded by Ray Stata and Matthew Lorber in 1965. Stata maintains an active role in the company to this day. On March 11, 1969, an initial public offering was held, and Analog Devices became a publicly traded company. The company was listed on the New York Stock Exchange in 1979. In August 1990 Analog Devices bought Precision Monolithics Inc.[1] Currently, Jerald G. Fishman is the CEO and President, and Stata is the Chairman of the Board. The company headquarters is in Norwood, Massachusetts. There are large fabrication plants in the US and the main European facility is located at Limerick in the Republic of Ireland. They also have large testing facilities in the Philippines. Other international ADI development centers are located in Edinburgh, Scotland; Melbourne, Australia; Munich, Germany; Valencia, Spain; Israel; Beijing, China; Shanghai, China; Tokyo, Japan; Taipei, Taiwan; Bangalore, India; and other locations across the globe.
