Amy Robbins (born 1 January 1971, in Higher Bebington) is an English actress best known for her role as Dr. Jill Weatherill in the British television series The Royal. Prior to her current role she played Police Sergeant Rachel James in the BBC One hospital drama Casualty for two series. Robbins has also appeared on film, playing the part of Maureen in the 2003 film "Strange Relations" alongside Julie Walters and Paul Reiser, and as Sylvie in the 2002 film Killing Me Softly. She came from an acting family and trained at RADA. She also gained an English and Drama degree from Goldsmiths, University of London. Robbins is married to her co-star Robert Daws who plays Dr. Gordon Ormerod in the series. They have two daughters, Betsy and May. She is a second cousin of ex-Beatle Paul McCartney and the sister of Ted Robbins and Kate Robbins impressionist and actress. [edit] External links
