Amrit Mangat is a Canadian politician. She was elected to the Legislative Assembly of Ontario in the 2007 provincial election, representing the riding of Mississauga—Brampton South. She is a member of the Liberal Party, and is the first woman of South Asian heritage to serve as a Member of Provincial Parliament in Ontario.

She is currently the parliamentary assistant to the Minister Responsible for Seniors, and also serves as a member of the Justice, Intergovernmental and Aboriginal Affairs Policy Cabinet Committee and she is a member of the Standing Committee on Estimates.

Prior to immigrating to Canada in 1992, Mangat worked as a teacher in India and later obtained her Ontario College of Teachers certification. She has also worked as a business manager and office administrator, and has volunteered for various organizations such as the Rotary Club and India Rainbow Community Services of Peel.
