Amos Larkins, also known as 24Hr. Productions, Amos Larkins II, Amos Larkins III, Peter Rock, Leon Green, T. Grenn, MCB, Mc. Stax, W. Scott, W. Sims, The Meggatrons, Willie Wong, R. Lewis, and Alonzo Lewis, is one of the pioneers of Miami bass. He was the first bass producer between 1984 and 1985. Originally, he began recording drum-machine based, mid-tempo rap songs. By 1985, Larkins accidentally sustained the kick drum of the 808 drum machine on a song, and a test copy was given out. Amos followed this path for a while, causing the industry to follow suit, and forming a new genre in the process - Miami bass. Larkins produced artists and groups such as Double Duce, Prime Choice and Connie. He produced MC ADE's "Bass Rock Express", a track often viewed as the first Miami bass track. Apart from innovating bass music, Larkins also produced many electro, hip hop and freestyle tracks. [edit] List of tracks produced by Amos Larkins (1982-1988)
