Alfonso de Anda aka Poncho de Anda (born July 25, 1974 in Mexico City) is a Mexican show host.

One of the young and popular faces of the us Spanish-language television, alfonso de anda most recently co-hosted Telemundo's morning show “Cada Día”. Selected in 2005 as one of the “50 Most Beautiful” for People en Espanol Magazine, Alfonso recently received at New York city the “Sin Limite” Award as the best Hispanic television host in the United States. ”Poncho,” as many know him, has also hosted several Telemundo specials, including the Red Carpet of the “Billboard Latin Music Awards”, “Miss Universe”, “Live Earth” Concert” and the “Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade”, among others.

As the co-host of Emilio’s Estefan reality show “Nuevas Voces de América,” Poncho brought to the viewers every detail related to the show. He also served as host of the entertainment segments for Telemundo’s morning newscast “Hoy En El Mundo”, and the co-host of the morning variety show “De Mañanita.” in addition, he was in charge of a weekly entertainment segment for the top-rated news magazine “Al Rojo Vivo”.

Throughout his career, poncho has interviewed hundreds of celebrities and personalities in the entertainment industry such as Shakira, Enrique Iglesias, Maná, Alejandro Sanz, Antonio Banderas, Robert de Niro, Miguel Bose y Angelina Jolie, among others. Poncho’s tv and radio career began in Mexico city nearly 10 years ago. Then in 2001, he moved to the u.s to host fuzion, mun2 television’s edgy entertainment magazine.

In addition to his television background, alfonso, who holds a bachelor’s degree in communications from Mexico’s intercontinental university and a master’s degree from the university of Quebec in Montreal, is also a talented singer and composer. His career started as dj at Alfa 91.3 F.M, one of the most successful radio stations in Mexico city, where he worked as producer and host of his own show. In 2001, he moved from his country Mexico to the United States to work as the main anchor of fuzion, an entertainment show for mun2 television.

As a tv personality his career includes the video music show "Alfa Dance" and the entertainment show "Estudio Siete" for TV Azteca (Television Azteca). Between his career of radio and television personality, alfonso became part of a musical group named "oz" as singer and composer. He also did special apereance in telemundo series "Los Teens" ans starred in the independent film "Estados" which received the award for best Latin picture at the "Made In Miami Film Festival".
