Alex Rance (born 9 October 1989) is an Australian rules football player, recruited at pick 18 in the 2007 AFL Draft by the Richmond Football Club.

Alex is the son of former Footscray and West Coast player Murray Rance.

Alex Rance graduated from Guildford Grammar School in WA, in 2006. during his schooling years, he displayed potential as not only a great footballer, being the Vice-Captain, but he was also fantastic at Volleyball. He also displayed great leadership skills as Vice-Captain of Freeth House. Alex has had a very encouraging start to his AFL Career with 2 games to his name, quite frequently looking like a mature key proposition. Alex played his first game in 2009, and was immediately lauded by Tiger fans for his toughness at the ball. In Round 7, 2009, Alex was involved in a sickening head clash with Brisbane Lions player, Troy Selwood. Rance suffered a cracked cheek.
