Alex Biega (born April 4, 1988) is a Canadian ice hockey defenseman who plays for the Harvard Crimson of the NCAA. He was drafted by the Buffalo Sabres in the 5th round, 147th overall in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft. He is an offensive defenseman who uses his skating ability to compensate for his small frame.^{[citation needed]}

Alex grew up in Pointe Claire as the eldest of four hockey playing brothers. Michael plays forward and was Alex's team-mate for the Harvard University Crimson hockey team. Alex and Michael were the second and third highest point scorers on the Crimson respectively for the 2008-09 season. Danny, another defenseman, is due to join his older brothers at Harvard for the 2009-10 season. The youngest brother, Marc is currently playing with the Lac St Louis Lions of the Quebec Midget AAA Hockey League.
