The films captures the angst of ordinary citizen of Mumbai exemplified by a young Christian car mechanic, Albert Pinto (Naseeruddin Shah) who derives vicarious pleasure from his rich clients’ lifestyle, which brings him in conflict with his family, his father who is mill worker, and joins the strike [6]
