Alan Hewitt (1918–1986) was an American film and TV actor.

He never became a major star, but he did have a lengthy career which included smaller parts in several well-known programmes, including Daktari, Dr Kildare and The Phil Silvers Show.

Possibly his most prominent roles were the detective in My Favourite Martian and the district attorney in How to Murder Your Wife.
