Aktivdemokrati is a political party that aimed for representation in the Parliament of Sweden, but only got 81 votes nation-wide in the Swedish general election, 2006, of a national turnout of 5,650,416. It regards itself as cross-political or non-political organisation, since the traditional left-right orientation is non existent within the party. Instead an issue-based politic is created step by step by the members of the party.
Every party member have the same voting right and is granted the same right to make propositions of all kinds.
There is a board, due to unclear legal demands of ideal communities in Sweden, but the board of Aktivdemokrati is with minimal power, and can basically only maintain the technical status of the electronic voting system used for all decisions made within the party.
Development of an internet based voting system is under way but not launched yet and in the mean time, all decisions are taken by the members with open voting in a PHPbb-forum.
