Portrait of Agneta Horn by David Klöcker Ehrenstrahl Agneta Horn (August 18, 1629 – March 18, 1672) was a Swedish writer and noblewoman. She was the daughter of Gustav Horn, Count of Pori and the granddaughter of Axel Oxenstierna. During her life, she wrote an autobiography which provides unique insight into the Swedish Empire era. These memoirs were first discovered in 1885, and while largely dealing with personal issues such as family deaths and conflicts, they are written in the context of Sweden's culture of the time, including such conflicts as the Thirty Years' War. Her diary has been considered by some to be the first Swedish novel. She was married to Lars Cruus of Gudhem, Lord of Harviala. [edit] Sources
