Common manifestations involve feelings of detachment or increased psychological clarity. The term is most commonly associated with the consumption of hallucinogens, particularly tryptamines, and dissociatives. This phenomenon contrasts with hangovers, the negative after-effects experienced by users of other psychoactive substances.
