The company won a Frost and Sullivan 2006 Innovation award for its Hemopurifier Technology ^[1]. Hemopurifier technology has potential applications as a counter to bioterrorism. It is also being tested in India as a treatment for Dengue fever and was recently shown to remove exosomes from the blood which may improve some types of cancer treatments. The hemopurifier is a device that resembles a dialysis cartridge but instead of removing nitrogenous bybroducts filters out viruses and exosomes by affinity factors. The device has shown some promise in the treatment of hepatitis C infections.^[2]
