Acacia laeta is a perennial shrub or tree growing to a height of 4-10m. Its flowers are yellow to creamy white and they appear near the end of the rainiest part of the year.[1] It is native to Africa and the Middle East.[2] [edit] UsesParts of the tree are used for dyestuff.[1] The tree is used for fodder; the foliage and seed pods make good forage for livestock and the tree stands up well to this use.[1] It produces an edible gum. [1] Water and heat are used to extract tannin from the tree's bark for use in tanning hides.[1] The wood is used for fuel, charcoal and domestic construction. It is used to make wooden posts for fences.[1] [edit] References[edit] External links
